Increase Internet speed by 20%...

Microsoft reserves 20% of the bandwidth for their own purposes like Windows Updates, questioning the PC etc. That 20 % can be retrieved back for your use !

Go to Start and the click Run and type “gpedit.msc” (without the quotes). This leads to the opening of the group policy editor. Then go to -->Local Computer Policy -->Computer Configuration -->Administrative Templates -->Network -->QoS Packet Scheduler -->Limit Reservable Bandwidth.
Double click on Limit Reservable Bandwidth. It will be shown that it is not configured, but you will get the whole truth, if you click ‘Explain’ tab. You will see that by default , the packet scheduler limits the system to 20% of the bandwidth, but this setting can be changed. The trick is to ENABLE reservable bandwidth, and then set it to ZERO. Thus, nothing will be reserved and you can use the whole bandwidth for Internet. Watch the video below for further clarity. Enjoy the extra speed ....That's it !
